Monolith is a retro-futuristic cocktail lounge inspired by mid-century optimism and the golden age of bar culture. It blends classic cocktail craftsmanship with globally influenced small plates, creating a refined, immersive social experience for a design-conscious audience.
The concept is built around “speculative nostalgia” — a reimagined 1950s vision of the future expressed through elevated hospitality, distinctive design, and inventive drinks. It is not a themed bar, but a fully realized environment where storytelling enhances a high-end food and beverage program.
Within Monolith lies The Oubliette, a hidden speakeasy offering an intimate counterpoint. While Monolith looks forward through a 1950s lens of the future, The Oubliette looks backward into an imagined pre-modern apothecary world, focusing on tinctures, elixirs, and a more experimental, moody cocktail experience.
Together, the two spaces create a dual-concept hospitality model: one vibrant and social, the other intimate and secretive—unified by craft, narrative depth, and a commitment to exceptional service.

The Oubliette
In contrast, our second, "hidden" bar — The Oubliette — will be a 75-year leap BACK in time from 1950 to the age of the apothecary, and will focus on our innovative and experimental cocktail offerings. It will run on a reservation-only basis, allowing our guests a more intimate, romantic experience.
